Frequently Asked Questions
-
What makes our breeding program and our puppies so special?
-
Before we breed - We genetics test our pup parents for more than 200 genetics diseases, we also OFA certify our pup parents hips, elbows, patellas, hearts and eyes. In other words, every health or genetics test available for dogs, we do! When we pick our pairing, we scrutinize each dog’s genetics before breeding to make sure we are producing high quality healthy puppies.
-
Dam Care – Our Females are seen by a reproductive vet specialist before every breeding, and we base any breeding decisions off advice and expertise of our reproductive vet.
-
Puppy Care – Puppies are born in a whelping box in our master bathroom. When they are about 3 weeks old, they are moved to a larger puppy pen in our home. We start Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) at 3 days old, and we do daily handling exercises with the puppies. As puppies get older, they are introduced to different objects, sounds, scents, and are well socialized to children. We also start the potty-training process with puppies before they go home.

Puppy picking happens at 6 weeks old and can be done in person at our home or can be done via facetime. Puppy picking happens in the order of reservation fees received. Each family has 45 minutes for puppy picking so we can disinfect and have time between families to pick up. We want to respect everyone’s time and make sure we are not making others wait.

-
Can I come see puppies in person before 6 weeks?
-
We do not allow in person viewing before then since puppies are susceptible to any illnesses or germs others may bring around them. We are more than happy though to facetime so people are able to see our puppy environment before 6 weeks old. We want our puppy families to be confident and proud they are getting a puppy from a loving home environment.
